Crouch Valley Koi Club Photographic Competition 2016
\nAs is now traditional, the November meeting was the culmination of our annual photographic competition.
\nThis year saw a few changes to the format with members pairing up to photograph and measure their entries \u2013 so only one person to blame for poor photographs!
\nAs in previous years, each member was allowed to enter up to 6 koi across all sizes and varieties. However, to keep the competition keen, rather than judge each size and class individually (with perhaps only one or two fish in a particular size and class, entries were grouped by size into go-sanke and non go-sanke.
\nCrouch Valley is lucky to be able to count BKKS Judge, Keith Bertie, amongst its ranks and as usual, he could be counted upon to take away the photos for his expert assessment and at our meeting he provided a critique of each fish and announced the winners.
\nFor added interest this year, members were invited to supply a short video clip of their entrants which were also shown at the meeting.
\nHaving chosen best go-sanke and non go-sanke in each size, Keith also selected: Baby Champion, Young Champion, Adult Champion, Mature Champion, Grand Champion and Best Non-Go Sanke (a new category this year).
\nCrouch Valley is extremely grateful to Vitalis for donating buckets of their new koi food for our 6 major winners.
