Crouch Valley members have ponds of all shapes and sizes. Here are just a few examples.

Andy O’s pond with nets and bowls at the ready.
Andy P’s pond sheltered by a polycarbonate roof and tucked alongside the house.
Craig’s long and narrow (but deep) imaginative pond.

Below are some shots of Dave T’s newly installed “plug and play” EZ-Pond. This was dropped in place by crane and comes ready to go with window and filtration. Dave plans to clad the pond and erect a pergola over it.

Next below is Gerry’s large pond and filtration.

Jim’s main pond and smaller “grow on” pond in the background for his smaller fish.
Keith’s large inground pond sheltered under a pergola.
Mike’s pond is both in ground and raised and includes a shower as part of his filtration.
Pat & Reg again showing how a good size pond can fit into a narrow garden and note the use of an auto feeder to ensure their koi get food throughout the day.
Paul M’s pond is both in ground and raised and includes the ever more popular window.
Paul P’s sleeper pond (with filtration neatly hidden in the cupboard) showing that koi can be enjoyed in smaller ponds if not overstocked and well maintained.

Below is another smaller pond built by Paulio during lockdown. And he has the koi bug as the “shed” you can see in the background will house a small quarantine pond (a valuable resource for all koi keepers to settle new purchases for health checks before they join the main pond).

Steve’s main pond below is sheltered by a pergola and it situated so it can be viewed directly from the conservatory. He also has a smaller (enclosed) pond used for quarantine and growing on smaller koi. The frame is to stop fish jumping out (a common problem with newly added koi).

Tony’s large pond. Note the glass jump guards that are a popular addition and easily removed (as seen in the pic) when you need to net koi.
